Health Fair 2018
Wednesday, December 19, 2018

A health fair was conducted in December 2016 in the Okwu Emekuku primary healthcare center serving about four communities in Nigeria. This primary healthcare center serves over twenty thousand people.  An extensive community outreach was done prior to the health fair to engage community leaders and other members as people expressed their needs. The local and state government in the area gave their permission to allow assessment and conduct said fair. The paid health workers (registered and auxiliary nurses), women groups, youth groups, community leaders and a private security outfit were on ground as the health fair was conducted. A post-health fair meeting was conducted.

Our program will continue to ensure that we conduct health fairs in various underserved communities with the model of gathering important and basic health indices, with the intention of publishing data when necessary and contributory to the scientific/medical literature

What is my life’s most urgent question? Am I just passing by? Does my life have purpose? Is there a reason I am here?
